Once again, Rozvadov's King's Resort hosts the WSOP Circuit series, offering players two weeks of packed tournaments, satellites, and cash game action. Until November 4th, at least €3,000,000 will be distributed among the top players, with all eyes on 12 ring events.
The festival kicked off with a €550 Bounty Hunter PLO event and has already moved into its second half. Six rings have found their winners so far, with the most watched event being the Mini Main Event – a €300 tournament with a €500,000 guarantee, culminating recently in a live-streamed final day.
The Mini Main Event delivered what you'd expect from the WSOPC at King's: a massive turnout and even bigger drama. With a €300 buy-in, 1,700 entries were collected, and the best 24 players advanced to the final day. Among the locals, Jaromír Haněl and Vojtěch Havel reached the finale, with Havel making it to the final table, finishing in ninth place.
Italian player Fabio Castagna entered the final table as the chipleader, followed by Rens Buijs from the Netherlands. These two dominated the table, meeting in the final heads-up. The decisive hand came when Rens Buijs, holding T c 3 c, hit a back-door flush on the board 2 s J h 4 c A c 8 c, which Castagna, holding A d K h, didn't believe. An all-in call on the river sealed the deal, awarding the ring and a €57,400 prize to Rens Buijs from the Netherlands.
