Record-Breaking Main Event Surpasses $5 Million Prize Pool – Day 2 Kicks Off!
The highlight of the WSOP Super Circuit Cyprus is Event #10: $5,300 No Limit Hold'em – WSOPC Main Event, which today concludes its initial flights and transitions into Day 2, where survivors from the opening days come together.
This tournament, with its $5 million guaranteed prize pool, has exceeded organizers' expectations. By the fourth of five flights, it was clear that the guarantee had been surpassed, promising even bigger rewards for players. In terms of the prize pool, this marks a record-breaking Main Event in the history of live WSOPC tournaments.
Late registration remains open at the start of Day 2 (until the end of Level 14), and the total number of participants, prize pool, and winner's reward will be unveiled after today's action. Poker fans can watch the event live via the official WSOP YouTube channel, which will broadcast the entire Main Event.
Fahredin Mustafov Scores Third WSOPC Ring
Event #11: $26,000 No Limit Hold'em – Super High Roller attracted an exclusive yet small field with only 22 entries. This meant that just the top four players would make it to the money.
Claiming the title, the $217,000 prize, and his third WSOPC ring was Fahredin Mustafov from Bulgaria. Mustafov reaffirmed his status among the region's elite players, pushing his career earnings past the $10 million mark with this victory.
The Bulgarian success was further highlighted by Ognyan Dimov, who finished fourth. Dimov secured his first ring just two days earlier in the Mystery Bounty and came close to snagging a second during this series, settling instead for a $74,000 payout.
Bernard Larabi from Hungary took second place, while seasoned Belarusian player Mikalai Vaskaboinikau finished third.
