WSOP Circuit Returns in Full Force: Ring Winners Earn a Ticket to Paradise

Article cover

The WSOP Circuit (WSOPC) is back in action after its June break, and the second half of the year promises a packed calendar—players can look forward to 17 stops in the United States and 12 international festivals before year’s end. This newly released schedule also signals a shift to a calendar-year season format, with WSOPC moving to a January-through-December structure starting in 2026.

Gold ring with a bonus: Winners will go to the Bahamas!

The headline innovation for the upcoming Circuit is the prize for tournament winners. Every player claiming a WSOP Circuit ring between July 1 and December 2, 2025, will earn a $5,000 "Ticket To Paradise" package. This exclusive package covers a $2,500 buy-in to a live event and complimentary accommodation in the Bahamas—granting ring winners entry to WSOP Paradise, one of the year's most prestigious poker festivals. This new reward replaces the traditional Tournament of Champions, which will not be held in the latter half of the 2025 season.

New faces, new records

This year, WSOP has also introduced changes at the organizational level. Dennis Jones will oversee the US segment of the Circuit, while Andy Tillman will lead the international series. All stops are expected to use the new WSOP+ platform, ensuring unified tournament structures and payout models across the board.

The 2024/2025 season has been one for the record books. Check out these jaw-dropping stats:

  • 45 stops
  • 729 tournaments
  • Over 291,000 entries
  • More than 168 million dollars in prizepools

While the WSOP-C may not enjoy the same spotlight as the Las Vegas summer WSOP, according to WSOP executive Ty Stewart it remains “the world’s largest live tournament series.” If you’re thinking about a poker trip this year, the second half of 2025 is shaping up to be ideal - and if you manage to capture a gold ring, you might want to start packing your bags for the Caribbean.
