WSOP 2026: New Events, Classic Favorites, 100 Bracelets, and Free Streams!

Article cover

In the wake of the fresh announcement, there's a clear ambition: to build on the record-breaking year of 2025. That year, the WSOP festival attracted 246,960 entries and distributed over $481,000,000 in prize money—figures that set a high bar. The script for Summer 2026 is written: big names, huge fields, and even more pressure to keep WSOP the birthplace of legends.

Main Event Starts July 2, Final Table on July 13

The highlight of the summer remains unchanged – the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em World Championship, or Main Event. It begins on Thursday, July 2, and the play continues until the final table is set on July 13. While the broadcast schedule for the final is still to be announced, the dates leading up to the final nine are already in place.

Fans Heard: Free Streams on YouTube

A big news that will delight all viewers - a daily free livestream will run from May 26 until the start of the Main Event on the official WSOP YouTube channel. Organizers speak of an upgraded TV set in Paris Las Vegas and familiar voices behind the microphone – the goal is clear: to bring the WSOP atmosphere closer to those who can't afford to experience a Nevada summer in person.

Classics That Make the Summer

Some tournaments are almost obligatory stops at the WSOP, and the 2026 schedule once again highlights them: Monster Stack ($1,500), Colossus ($500), Millionaire Maker ($1,500), and Poker Players Championship ($50,000) are just some of the top picks. And for the high-stakes audience, there's a $250,000 Super High Roller on this year's calendar. WSOP is also adding more flights to several popular bracelet events, offering more chances to hit the right day.

New Series Kickoff: Mini Mystery Millions

The series kicks off with a new opening event #1 Mini Mystery Millions for $550, which is also enticing with a significant bounty reward guaranteed at $1,000,000. And just to make it clear that WSOP aims to blend prestige with mass appeal, the first days will also feature #11 GGMillion$ High Roller for $10,000 (with two starting flights) and #16 U.S. Circuit Championship for $1,700.

WSOP+ App and $1,000,000 POY

Organizers are also focusing on player convenience. All details are available in the WSOP+ app, and registrations are expected to open soon, making entry to the casino and play as seamless as possible.

Lastly, WSOP offers another incentive for grinders: the 2026 WSOP Player of the Year will distribute a total of $1,000,000, with the winner receiving a $100,000 package to WSOP Paradise 2026. An interesting detail is that the POY for this season starts at WSOP Europe in Prague (March 31 – April 12).
