Czech Triumph at the Finish: Lukáš Záškovný Wins 'The Closer' and Captures Second Bracelet
One of the last champions of the 2025 WSOP was Lukáš Záškovný, who emerged victorious in Event #97: $1,500 The Closer No-Limit Hold’em, securing $648,130 and his second WSOP gold bracelet. The Czech professional outperformed a massive field of 4,297 entries in a tournament that traditionally wraps up the summer schedule of the WSOP.
Záškovný shone at the final table, filled with international names, where he ultimately bested American Richard Ali. This marked the third Czech triumph of the summer, as Martin Kabrhel and Zdeněk Žižka also celebrated bracelet wins.
For Lukáš Záškovný, this second WSOP title came after an eight-year wait, with his first in the PLO format back in 2017. His versatility was evident as he succeeded in the hold’em variant, concluding the WSOP 2025 with an unexpected triumph.

Eveslage Closes Successful Summer with High Roller H.O.R.S.E. Victory
Though the Main Event was behind us, WSOP 2025 continued into the final hours with the last bracelets of summer being awarded. In Event #98: $25,000 High Roller H.O.R.S.E, Chad Eveslage triumphed, besting a field of 150 entries in mixed games, earning his fourth WSOP bracelet and a prize of $883,841.
He defeated the legendary Brian Rast in heads-up play, undeterred by the respect he has for his opponent: “My friends joke with me because I think a lot of players don't play very well, but I can't say that about Brian; he plays almost perfectly.”
Eveslage started the final day as a short stack but quickly gained momentum. “I won the first four hands and instantly went from 460,000 to 2.3 million in chips. Then I got on a good roll,” Eveslage admitted.

Daniel Zack Caps WSOP with Victory – Fourth Bracelet in 'Weakest' Discipline
The final day of WSOP 2025 saw another significant name added to this year's winners. Daniel Zack, known American mixed-game player, clinched his fourth WSOP gold bracelet in Event #84: $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha, taking home $471,170.
In a field of 1,088 entries, Zack faced a challenging conclusion that pushed into an extra fourth day. Ironically, the heads-up match lasted only a few minutes, as Schwartz entered it with a significant chip deficit and failed to create any drama.
Interestingly, Zack considers PLO his weakest game: “I think everyone makes fun of my PLO game in mixed cash games,” he admitted with a smile. “But I try my best when I play. I know it's not my strongest discipline.”
