Article cover

The 2026 installment of the World Poker Tour series kicks off in Cambodia, delivering a nearly three-week-long festival. Following the opening festivals, the popular $1,100 Prime event continues, leading up to the Main Event starting February 4th, featuring a $3,500 buy-in and a $1,500,000 guarantee.

$3,000 Mystery Bounty High Roller Draws Record Participation

The day before the Prime event, a High Roller began in the popular mystery bounty format, attracting 67 entries and generating a $178,723 prize pool. Of that, $111,723 went to the standard payouts while an additional $67,000 was allocated for bounty envelopes. Players competed for $32,400 reserved for the winner, battled over on the final day.

The final day lasted just about five hours, with an intense atmosphere from the first hand. Argentine Norberto Korn survived a preflop all-in against Ahuja (A-K against K-J), doubled his stack, and immediately took the lead. From there, it became a one-man show, culminating in an overall victory.

The most dynamic run at the final table, however, was by Xiaosheng Zheng, who orchestrated a double elimination early on. Although he finished fourth with $10,350, his bounty envelopes earned him the tournament's second-largest prize—totaling $39,850.

After eliminating Zheng, Korn also dismissed Yunsheng Sun, and the heads-up with Mike Takayama concluded quickly before hitting full stride. Takayama moved all-in blind, and Korn called just as blindly, his J h J s triumphing over his opponent’s A s T h.

Besides the $32,400 first-place prize, Korn collected six bounties, including the top bounty worth $20,000. Altogether, he won $30,500 in bounties, totaling $62,900 in winnings, securing the first major trophy of his career.
