Triton: Where luxury meets high-stakes poker

Since its inception in 2016, the Triton Poker Series has become synonymous with luxury, elite competition, and sky-high stakes. Known for its exclusive format and high buy-ins, the series attracts not only elite pros but also poker-loving entrepreneurs and millionaires. One of its most iconic stops—Triton Montenegro — is back once again at the lavish Maestral Resort.

This year’s edition features 15 tournaments with buy-ins between 25.000$ and 200.000$, including a 100.000$ Main Event and the unique 200.000$ Triton Invitational. The Invitational will once again split the field 50/50 between seasoned pros and affluent amateurs, with each group playing separately on Day 1 before merging for Day 2 and beyond.

Star-studded lineups and returning champions

The series promises an impressive turnout of poker elites and past Triton champions, as was already evident in the opening tournament – the 25.000$ WPT Global Slam Event. The event drew 155 entries before registration closed, generating a massive 3.875.000$ prizepool to be split among the top 27 finishers.

Yesterday’s action brought plenty of big names to the field, and by the end of Day 1, only 31 remained in contention. Leading the pack is chip leader David Peters, but the fight for the signature trident trophy is far from over. Still in the hunt are heavy hitters like Artur Martirosian, Ike Haxton, Joao Vieira, Alex and Kristen Foxen, Daniel Dvoress, Mike Watson, and Leon Sturm.

The tournament will play down to the final table today, while a second event also gets underway – another 25.000$ NLH tournament. With thrilling clashes, unforgettable moments, and record-breaking payouts on the horizon, Triton Montenegro is already shaping up to be a must-watch spectacle.
