Event #1: Xuan Liu rewrites history
The series opened with the 25.000$ WPT Global Slam, and it didn’t take long for a historic moment to unfold. Canada’s Xuan Liu became the first woman ever to claim a title at Triton Poker. Outlasting a stacked field of 155 entries, Liu walked away with 860.000$, marking the biggest cash of her career.
It was far from a smooth ride. On her path to victory, Liu faced some of poker’s toughest competitors. At the final table, she was able to go through Mike Watson, David Peters, and fellow Canadian Daniel Dvoress. Also making the final table was Kristen Foxen, who finished fourth for 325.000$. That score pushed her over the 10 million mark in live tournament earnings.
Despite entering heads-up play with a 4:1 chip deficit, Liu mounted an incredible comeback against Dvoress to etch her name into the Triton history books.

Due to Chinese traditions, Triton skips the number four in its event schedule, so the action moved on to Event #5—a 40.000$ Mystery Bounty tournament. The opening day drew 129 entries, with 32 players advancing to Day 2. The top 20 finishers will make the money, and the eventual winner will collect 619.000$.
