Article cover

While many eyes were fixed on the exclusive 200.000$ Invitational event, the real battle began soon after with the official 100.000$ Main Event. With 180 total entries, the field was packed with elite talent, all chasing the 3.810.000$ top prize awaiting the champion at the final table.

Dominance from Start to Finish

Jesse Lonis entered the final day as the chip leader and never let go of his advantage. Facing off against some of the best in the world—Stephen Chidwick, Fedor Holz, and the defending champ Vaskaboinikau—Lonis kept his cool. The final showdown came against the Belarusian star, where a pre-deal agreement was made before Lonis clinched the victory with K d T c against Q c J c.

Emotional Lonis after the win: “This is emotional, I’m trying not to cry. I came here to perform. I’m far from my family, but I knew I could do it.” This win adds to Lonis’ remarkable 2025 run, during which he has already recorded over 14 ITM finishes and five victories—including a Mystery Bounty title earlier in this same series, where he pocketed 619.000$ plus 800.000$ in bounties. With total earnings now surpassing 7,3 million dollars this year, Lonis has firmly cemented himself among the top performers of the season.

Mikolaitis Becomes a Millionaire

The 50.000$ 7-Handed Event #9 attracted a fierce lineup of poker elites, but it was Lithuanian pro Dominykas Mikolaitis who showed the most grit and patience. After a string of deep runs and final table appearances on the Triton tour, he finally locked up his first title.

Mikolaitis outlasted 105 entries and defeated a star-studded final table that included David Peters, Isaac Haxton, and Alex Kulev. At one point, he was down to just 7 big blinds, but mounted a stellar comeback to take home 1.258.000$.

“I told myself this year I want trophies. The money’s nice, but trophies are what push me,” Mikolaitis shared. “A Triton trophy has been on my wishlist for a long time—I’m thrilled to finally hold one.”

Turbo Specialist With Another Triumph

Austrian high roller Matthias Eibinger added yet another chapter to his turbo dominance, taking down Event #11: 50.000$ NLH Turbo Bounty Quattro. For the win, he earned 531.000$ plus an additional 360.000$ in bounty payouts, for a total haul of 891.000$.

This marks Eibinger’s fourth Triton title. “Four Triton titles is amazing, but having three of them in turbo events means the most to me,” he said. “It’s a format that really suits my style. From the outside, it might look like simple push-or-fold decisions, but there are a lot of nuances. Those details are what give me the edge.”

Triton Montenegro Continues

With the Main Event wrapped up, the action in Montenegro is far from over. Upcoming highlights include the 150.000$ NLH 8-Handed and a lineup of Pot-Limit Omaha events. The level of competition remains sky-high, and every new champion will have to fight tooth and nail for the title. Stay tuned as we continue to follow the stars rising from this elite series.
