Saturday Is All About the Main Event

The highlight of The Festival Rozvadov, the Main Event, featured two pivotal starting days yesterday, both aiming to push the tournament past its ambitious guarantee. Flight 1E saw a solid turnout with 229 entries, aiming to play down to the final 29 players who would bag up for Day 2. After more than 13 hours at the tables, everything came down to a classic coinflip -4 c 4 d against A d K s. When the dust settled, the surviving semifinalists were left bagging their stacks and looking ahead for the next day.

The main protagonist in that dramatic hand, Like Boss from France, closed the flight with a massive chip leading stack of 1.556.000.

With a total entry count currently standing at 866, the tournament’s 500.000€ guarantee still hasn’t been cracked. Now, only today’s turbo Flight 1G at 11:00 and the very last satellite - Flip and Go Pineapple at 14:00 remain. In the Flip and Go, each table of eight gets one blind hand; the winner instantly secures a Day 2 seat with an average stack.

Day 2 of the Main Event picks up at 16:30, and by the end, we’ll know who’s earned a spot at the final table. On Monday, in front of the cameras, the finalists will play for the biggest prizes. And if you’re looking forward to the live stream, you won’t have to wait for the final - coverage is already set to go live for Day 2 action.

Sunday Schedule

While the spotlight stays on the Main Event, there’s no shortage of action for everyone at King’s Resort. Starting at 13:00, the 1.100€ Open-Face Chinese Poker High Roller gets underway. At 18:00, it’s time for the 1.100€ NLH High Roller. Then, to wrap up the evening, turbo tournaments in both NLH and PLO are on the menu.
