In ‘Repeat’ Style
After reaching his third final table in seven days, he became unbeatable once again. In a tournament with 32 entries, he entered the final day as the chipleader and, even though he briefly lost the lead to Calvin Lee—who eventually finished second—the ending was firmly in Song’s hands.
Before the heads-up duel, both finalists agreed on an ICM deal, which guaranteed them the largest shares from the prize pool totaling $640,000. However, $10,000 and, of course, the prestigious trophy, were still left to play for the winner.

13 Minutes of Dominance
The final heads-up lasted less than a quarter of an hour. Song immediately took control and in the decisive hand he hit two pair with T h 4 c, while Lee entered the final game holding J s 7 d and hit top pair on a flop of J c T s 4 h. After 13 minutes, it was decided—Song took home his second title from Jeju and nearly $1 million from this festival in total.

Ever Rising Star
With this victory, Stephen Song adds his 16th live title to his collection and his total winnings exceed $10 million. He has long ceased to be just a “young hope” with a WSOP bracelet from 2019. Last year, he claimed the EPT Main Event title in Barcelona and with his current form, he is rightly regarded as one of the best players of today.
