The CAPT Million is only in its second year, yet it's already a gem of Austrian poker. Casinos Austria launched it last year as their largest tournament in history, and it delivered in full. The premiere attracted 3,400 entries from 49 countries, generating a €1,700,000 prize pool, from which Serbia's Stefan Stanojevic took the trophy and €172,200.
This year, the format featuring a €550 buy-in and multiple flights across Austria worked again. Players recorded 2,937 entries, and the final prize pool soared to €1,468,500, again surpassing the million-euro guarantee.
Eggenberger's Monumental Run
From all the flights in the Main Event, 294 players qualified for the final stage in Baden, with 40 doubling their efforts – earning an extra €4,000 bonus for doing so. A real 254 finalists entered Day 2 with a guaranteed €1,500. After a grueling second day, only 77 players progressed, reducing to the final 10 the following day.

All the finalists were assured a handsome four-figure return, but all eyes were particularly on one man – Swiss grinder and KeolePoker coaching platform founder, Stefan Eggenberger. He carried a commanding chiplead into the finale, promising a strong attack on the title with over two decades of playing and coaching experience backing him.
In the night from Monday to Tuesday, Eggenberger experienced a career-defining run. From the start, the final table was marked by his aggression, and when the field narrowed to the last few players, he still sat atop the chipcount. Through a start-to-finish strategy, he gradually overcame all his opponents, including Ukraine's Sergii Baranov, whom he faced in the final heads-up.

Eggenberger entered the heads-up with a more than 5:1 advantage, yet even though his opponent managed to double up several times over an hour of play, Stefan allowed no surprises. The fate of the entire tournament was decided on a board of Q h A s 8 h 7 s 3 d, where all the chips went into the middle on the river. In the showdown, Stefan revealed A h J s, which was enough to beat Sergii's A d 4 c, ending the tournament.
Eggenberger claimed €200,500 and the prestigious CAPT trophy. For the seasoned regular and coach, this marks the biggest score of his career and a title that permanently etches his name among the greats of the Austrian and Central European live poker scene.
