The Rozvadov poker room teamed up again with the Italian EuroRounders organization to bring us the Pirates Poker Treasure series, where the Main Event was called the Blackbeard Mystery Bounty. It offered a guarantee of €1,500,000 with a buy-in of €480 and a ticket to the WSOPE Main Event worth €10,350 awaited the top four players.
The tournament brought in 3,217 entries and so the guarantee was collected. A prize of €102,000 awaited the winner and the top 11 players battled it out on the final day. The chipleader was Italian player Alessandro Pagliuso with a stack of 27,875,000, followed in second place by Czech player Jakub Sterba with a stack of 24,825,000.
Jakub finished in fifth place with a €22,000 prize, and Pagliuso sat in the final heads-up, against French player Bahri. Bahri had a huge stack of 143,500,000, while Pagliuso had just 49,100,000. The players had worked out a deal together here, after which they played for the trophy. Heads-up play lasted about 20 minutes, after which Safwane Bahri emerged as the winner. He took home €97,900. How much the players earned from the bounty rewards the casino does not disclose.
