Poland’s Artur Wasek Triumphs at German Poker Masters €1 MILLION, Bags €101,000

Article cover

In the bustling poker scene of Europe’s largest poker room, another riveting event took place over recent days: the German Poker Masters, boasting a €1 MILLION guarantee. With stakes that high, the Main Event attracted players for just a €285 buy-in. The enticing offer led to 3,914 entries, surpassing the set guarantee.

Big Deal Among the Top 5

In typical fashion for massive low buy-in events, players reached a deal after long hours of play in the final day. This time, the agreement was struck among the last five players at the table, resulting in notable changes and an unconventional payout order. Winner Artur Wasek took home €101,000 and, of course, the trophy, while players like Armand Muratoglu and Arda Vekiloglu secured higher payouts than the German duo landing in second and third.

The final was broadcast live on King’s Resort’s YouTube channel, allowing viewers to watch the action unfold from 24 players down to the crowning of the champion. You can watch the recording here:

Artur Wasek shone in the all-European final, securing his third seven-figure win career-wise. His record, however, remains two nearly identical wins from the 2010 EPT Main Events in Paris and London, where he placed fourth, reaching close to €400,000.

During the final table, Wasek demonstrated his expertise, knocking out four players directly. In the heads-up showdown, it took just three hands to defeat his German opponent. In the crucial hand, Fresh Prince went all-in with A c 7 h, and Wasek quickly called with A d Q h. The board 2 c 8 s 3 c 8 d 5 c offered no surprises, allowing Wasek to celebrate his biggest career title.
