Poker Returns to Liechtenstein as GCPS Master with CHF 300,000 Guarantee Peaks This Weekend

Article cover

A beloved poker destination, Grand Casino Liechtenstein is making its mark on Europe's map once more! Although legislative changes halted poker action in 2025, it seems everything is back on track. The casino is celebrating this comeback in grand style with the new Grand Casino Poker Series, featuring three festivals with a total guarantee of 1.8 million francs!

The first of these GSPC events is the Master, with a Main Event buy-in of 330 CHF guaranteeing CHF 300,000. The Main Event offers eight starting flights (Days 1A–1H) with a starting stack of 50,000 chips and a deep structure for ample play. Each initial day continues until 12% of the players remain. All who advance are already ITM and will return to play on Day 2, September 14.

How's it looking so far?

As the weekend action looms, the tournament has already completed three opening days, generating a combined 441 entries. This has already amassed CHF 120,850 for the prizepool, and 53 players have secured their ITM status and a spot in Day 2. Leading the pack is German player Simon Fabian Feistle (1,482,000) and local staple Ramon Lampert (1,314,000), both surpassing the million-chip mark.

The fate of the entire tournament will be decided in the next few hours as the most intense weekend play unfolds. Today offers two flights with thirty-minute levels (starting at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM), and the same schedule is set for Saturday. The final chance to qualify will be Sunday’s 1H Turbo starting at 11:30 AM.
