Tournaments in Every Format Imaginable
The Festival series is renowned for offering poker formats and tournaments that are rarely found in casinos. These games have already proven immensely popular at the event, as showcased by the €350 Sviten Special event, which recorded 101 entries. This beloved Swedish variant saw action stretch into the early morning hours, with a long poker night eventually crowning Martin Schamaun as the winner, who defeated Karl Gialanze in heads-up to claim €8,001.
The highlight of the following day was the €550 T.O.R.S.E.S Main Event final. Among the 69 entries, The Festival's founder Martin 'Franke' von Zweigbergk reached the final table, finishing 5th with €2,640. The final heads-up showdown featured two UK players, Barrie Dear and Benjamin Sweetman. Ultimately, Barrie Dear emerged victorious, pocketing €9,901, while Sweetman took home €6,450.
A Successful Hendon Mob Championship
The Hendon Mob Championship traditionally kicks off The Festival events as a multi-day tournament with a €250 buy-in. In Malta, it attracted 376 entries, creating a prize pool of €78,584. Forty-seven finalists competed on the final day, vying for a coveted trophy.
The tournament concluded with a heads-up deal between Egi Adriaans and Attila Erdei, each taking €11,400. The subsequent play-off for an additional €2,871, the trophy, and a €1,850 package for THMC in Cape Town was won by Belgian Adriaans, who became the champion of the event.
Last Chance to Enter the Main Event
The centerpiece of this series is the NLH Main Event with a €550 buy-in, which has already completed three flights. A total of 340 entries contributed €161,500 to the prize pool. Fifty-one players have successfully advanced to Day 2, securing a return to the tables tomorrow with an ITM guarantee.
The 2024 Main Event saw 566 entries and a prize pool of €268,850. Will this year's numbers be surpassed? We will find out today as the last two flights will close entry opportunities. Flight 1D with 40-minute levels starts at 12:00, followed by a turbo flight with 20-minute levels at 20:00. Good luck to all daring players today!
