Last 15 Players Left in the Battle for the MASTERS Title – €50,261 Awaits the Champion

Article cover

The last playing day of the 41st edition of Banco Casino Masters will take place at Banco Bratislava, with a guaranteed €250,000. During the initial flights, the tournament produced 2,098 entries, with 208 players making it to Day 2. The guarantee was smashed and the prizepool reached €303,161. A new feature of this tournament was also the chipleader bonus, which guaranteed €2,600 for the top three players from each flight.

Day 2 started with 208 players, who were guaranteed a prize of €425. However, no one wanted to settle for that and everyone wanted to fight for one of the fifteen final spots. As time went on, after about eleven hours of play, the player field narrowed so much that only 15 players advanced to the final day. At one of the tables, two players were eliminated at once.

The final lineup is led by Latvian representative Dmitrijs Prohorovs, who is the only one to have surpassed the 10m chip mark. The international roster will offer spectators interesting poker – although there is no local poker representation at the final table, you can look forward to 9 different nationalities. Each finalist is already guaranteed a payout of €1,560, but what everyone will be interested in is certainly first place and the €50,261 prize that comes with it.
