Negreanu, Hellmuth, Mateos or Foxen – Documentary 'No Limit' Unveils the World of Poker

For months, whispers circulated in the poker community about a new poker documentary, and now we see the result. Yesterday, WSOP unveiled the trailer for the documentary miniseries 'No Limit', taking us straight into the heart of the first Super Main Event at WSOP Paradise 2024 in the Bahamas.

The story centers around the WSOP Paradise Super Main Event with a $25,000 buy-in and a historic $50,000,000 guarantee. 'No Limit' promises a mix of high-stakes table moments and intimate off-camera glimpses that we rarely see. Eight 30-minute episodes offer “unprecedented access to poker's most guarded world,” as stated by the creators. The first two episodes drop on Tuesday, November 4, on YouTube, with new episodes releasing every Tuesday and Thursday.

It's Not About the Cards, But About People Who Play Them

Created by Dustin Iannotti, the series clearly sets its tone in the trailer: this isn't for those looking for GTO analyses. 'No Limit' aims to showcase players' emotions, dilemmas, and motivations — understandable even for those who've never played a hand. If you want to know why poker was a way out of poverty for Jesse Lonis or why Kristen Foxen is still haunted by one pivotal hand, you're in the right place.

'No Limit' follows over a dozen key figures during 12 days of filming at Atlantis Paradise Island. Alongside Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth, you’ll see Liv Boeree (who finished fourth in the Super Main Event), Scott Seiver, Maria Ho, Alan Keating, Faraz Jaka, Jesse Lonis, Kristen Foxen, Adrian Mateos, and Wolfgang. Two online qualifiers — Adam Malfitano and Eric Bonucchi-Bilow — also appear, providing contrasting life stories to add another dimension to the series.

If you love the dynamics of high buy-ins and are equally curious about what happens between levels — chats with partners, the pressure of expectations, sleep loss, and thoughts about the future — 'No Limit' is aimed directly at you. Importantly, the creators want the series to be something poker players can finally show their loved ones to help them understand why we love this world.
