Fans can also look forward to other prestigious events during the series, which runs from August 9 to 21, 2025. Exciting events include the $25,750 SHRS Main Event with a 5 million dollar guarantee and the $102,000 Onyx SHRS NLH Invitational, attracting the biggest names in the poker world. These tournaments promise not only massive prize pools but also the finest and most exhilarating poker action.

The Journey to a Million

Ahmad, who started the final day from a mid-position, wasted no time in increasing his stack. His courage was evident in key moments. One such moment was a daring 3-bet against Austria's Stefan Kiwisch, forcing his opponent to fold a stronger pair with ace-lousy kicker. Later, with 4 h 2 d on the big blind, he flopped a straight and took a substantial pot from Peng Chen, closing in on the tournament leader, Canada's Jamil Wakil.

Shortly after, he claimed his first elimination, knocking out Weiran Pu in 8th place, seizing the chiplead. As more players fell, Ahmad continued to stack chips. When the play was down to four, Ahmad first eliminated Krasimir Yankov, who had managed to survive against all odds, then proceeded to knock out Stefan Kiwisch, thanks to an unfortunate river for the Austrian that sent a dreaded deuce from the dealer.

Entering the final heads-up, Moussa Ahmad held a commanding lead, with nearly a 4:1 chip advantage over Jamil Wakil. However, Wakil immediately doubled up his stack, substantially narrowing the gap. Ahmad proposed a deal, which Wakil declined. The decision came shortly after Ahmad's 3-bet with 8 c 3 c. The flop came J d 4 c 2 c. Ahmad shoved all-in, which Wakil called with T h T d. Wakil was set to take the lead, but the river 6 c dashed his hopes as Ahmad completed a flush, definitively ending the tournament and crowning him champion.

Winning the GG Million$ is not only the biggest achievement in Moussa Ahmad's career but also a fantastic start to the Onyx Super High Roller Series. He currently leads the Player of the Series leaderboard, where the winner receives a package for Triton Poker Jeju valued at 110,000 dollars.
