With this triumph, Rast secured his third PGT title, surpassing the $29.5 million mark in lifetime winnings. The journey to the title was anything but easy. At the final table, he faced the in-form Dzivielevski, who entered the finale in great form as the chipleader and reached heads-up play in his third consecutive tournament.
The tournament's resolution came in the Badugi discipline, where Rast first eliminated Sternheimer in third place and needed just four more hands to defeat Dzivielevski.
