For European poker players, The Goliath is a familiar name. This tournament, held annually in Coventry, UK, consistently ranks as the largest by entries among tournaments outside of Las Vegas. Every year, thousands of players from around the world register for this tournament with its accessible buy-in, and the 2025 edition was no exception.
Three years ago, The Goliath first surpassed the 10,000 entries mark, and it has been growing ever since. With the 2025 edition supported by a partnership with PokerStars, no one doubted that the 2024 record of 11,749 entries would be broken. It was anticipated that the 12,000 entries milestone would be achieved, and last night, the final tally was revealed.
