And we’re underway. The Lex Live Main Event in Banco Bratislava has now completed its first two opening flights. With a buy-in of 225€+25€, the tournament boasts a generous 200.000€ guarantee alongside a well-structured format. Each opening flight features 14 levels, and all players with chips at the end of Day 1 advance to Saturday’s Day 2. Registration remains open right up until the start of Day 2 on Saturday, June 28.
Yesterday’s opening day drew a field of 112 entries across fourteen levels, with 22 players punching their ticket to the next round. England’s Andrew Finnie bagged the biggest stack of Day 1A, finishing with 426.500 chips, putting him in strong position moving forward.
LexLive Main Event 200.000€ GTD – 1A:
It was a superb showing by Scotland’s Lee Ryan Wilson, who accomplished a rare double by shipping two tournaments in a single day. First, he closed out the Kick Off event, which drew 177 entries and built a prizepool of 22.700€. Wilson took home 5.000€ for his win before jumping straight into the PLO Knockout event. There, he outlasted a 91-entry field to take down a second trophy for the day. What a performance – congratulations!
Banco Bratislava also played host to the NLH Knockout tournament yesterday, which attracted 140 total entries. Germany’s Damian Harald Albers was the last player standing, collecting almost 3.000€ and the tournament win. Congrats to Damian as well.
Lex Live IV and its Main Event roll on today with two more flights, kicking off at 13:00 and 20:00. The tournament structure remains unchanged, and the 200.000€ prizepool is still in play for a 250€ buy-in. In addition to the Main Event, there are several other tournaments taking place today (Thursday, June 26), with the full schedule available below.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Lex Live festival without Lex Veldhuis himself. Lex is in Bratislava and, as always, taking his seat at the tables.
