The Main Event of the Israeli Federation Cup attracted players from around the globe. The entries capped at 2,290, resulting in a €389,300 prize pool. Yesterday marked the final day, with the last 16 players vying for the title. You could follow all the key moments via our livestream:
The final 16 contenders sat down at two tables yesterday. Each player was guaranteed a minimum prize of €2,900, but the champion stood to win over €64,000. The first task was forming the final table, which was accomplished in under three hours of play. The final, televised table comprised nine players, led by chipleader Mladen Stojanovic from Croatia, who started the final day on top.


The first player to exit the final table was Czech representative Alexandr Reško, collecting €5,275. His compatriot Jakub Vašíček went a bit further, securing seventh place for €9,425. After the elimination of Israeli player Chaim David Einbinder, the remaining three players agreed on a deal.
Third place went to Hungarian player Antonino Karman, who took home €35,203 after the deal. Ultimately, Israel’s Haim Struol emerged victorious, defeating Mladen Stojanovic. For his triumph, Struol claimed €58,680 and became the first-ever Main Event champion of IFC at Banco Bratislava. Congratulations!
