Vrakas Takes Home €164,000 Along With the Ring

After four hours of intense play at the final table, we witnessed the crowning of the €1,500 WSOPC Main Event champion in Rozvadov. The tournament, attracting 692 entries and boasting a €1,038,000 prizepool, was conquered by Georgios Vrakas, who took home €164,000, a King’s Million package worth €5,000, and importantly, his first WSOPC ring.

The final table was broadcast live via the official King's Resort livestream. The final day's footage can also be watched retrospectively on YouTube:

The final day started off with a bang. First to be knocked out was Romanian Birgaoanu, who fell to then-chipleader José Gómez Casillas. Shortly after, a purely Czech confrontation took place as Zdeněk Žižka shoved all-in with A h 8 h but ran into Roman Papáček’s T s T h, securing a full house on the flop K d T c K h. The turn A d gave Žižka hope, but the river J d extinguished it, leaving him in 7th place.

Roman Papáček’s tournament also ended in misfortune. Holding A h J h, he called an aggressive Casillas with A d 6 d. The board favored the Mexican player, and Papáček took home €52,100 for 4th place.

Heading into heads-up with Vrakas was Casillas, who initially faced a 1:3 chip deficit. Although he managed to grab the lead for a while, Vrakas had the final say, propelling him to fourth place on the Greek all-time live earnings list.

The final table featured a local competitor, Vojtěch Budil, who started the final day as the chipleader but finished in 4th place.
