The highlight of the new series with the enigmatic name, Gods of Poker, was Event #36 – GOP Main Event with a buy-in of NT$45,000 ($1,423). It was here that local talent Chih Wei Fan penned a story that perfectly matched the festival's atmosphere: the title stayed home, and Taipei crowned its first major champion of the new brand.
The Main Event attracted 556 entries across five flights, comfortably surpassing its guarantee. 77 players made it into the money, with a total prize pool climbing to NT$21,617,280 ($683,452). The final day kicked off with 11 players, and within just five levels of play, it was decided who would take home the unique champion's gauntlet.
The critical moment came during three-handed play. At a time when then-chipleader Long Hin Shiao lost a massive pot to Yu Yeh Chun, Fan quickly seized control and began to build his lead. Shortly after, he sent Shiao to the cashier in 3rd place for NT$1,769,600 ($55,948), and the ensuing heads-up was a one-sided affair.

Chun took second place in this tournament for NT$2,623,700 ($82,951), while Fan raised the unique trophy high and collected the top cash prize of NT$4,323,180 ($136,682).
