GGPoker Makes History: Over 600,000 Players Online Simultaneously

This unprecedented peak in traffic occurred during the ongoing WSOP Online 2025 series, which kicked off in mid-August and is currently about halfway through. The surge of players on Sunday was driven by immense interest in tournaments, especially the popular Millionaire Maker event, which drew a massive number of participants and pushed the number of active players on GGPoker to this record-breaking peak.

GGPoker itself kept the community updated on social media platform X. After surpassing the half-million mark of concurrent players, a message followed within the hour stating that 600,000 users were playing simultaneously on the platform. For comparison, the previous record for the most online players was long held by PokerStars. During the peak of the online poker boom around 2009, this giant achieved approximately 307,000 concurrent users. Just at the start of this month, GGPoker reached its then-record of about 316,000 online players in a single day. The current leap to 600,000 has more than doubled all previous milestones, setting a new benchmark for the online poker industry.
