Significantly Exceeded Guarantee

The Christmas Edition of the Czech Poker Masters offered a main event with an affordable buy-in of €150, which was a huge draw for players. A total of 3,867 entries were recorded, causing the original guarantee of €400,000 to be surpassed. The final prize pool reached €487,242, providing a fantastic conclusion to the poker year in Rozvadov.

The tournament was also livestreamed on YouTube, and you can catch the final day in the recording:

Unlucky End for Locals

The final day saw the last 31 players battling it out, including four Czech representatives. However, hopes for a home title vanished just before the final table. Marek Šulc achieved the best placement among them, finishing in the unenvied 10th position, taking home €6,600.

German Dominance

The final table was dominated by German players, who occupied half of the seats in the top eight. With the final four remaining, the players agreed on a deal, hastening the conclusion of the tournament.

Dagobert secured the largest prize and the official champion title, walking away with €58,000 from Rozvadov. His fellow countryman, Dong He, finished in second. A key hand occurred when both had nearly identical stacks. Dong He went all-in with Q d 9 c, and Dagobert called with K c 3 d. The board 4 c A s8 d T d 7 h missed both players, leaving Dong He with less than one big blind, and he was eliminated two hands later.
