The new GCPS Championship at Grand Casino Liechtenstein is heading towards its climax, with overwhelming player interest pushing it close to the guaranteed prizepool. During Saturday’s flights 1F and 1G, a combined 315 entries were recorded, bringing the total number to 957 (710 unique entries and 247 re-entries). This has increased the prizepool to 469,900 CHF, leaving just under thirty thousand to reach the 500,000 CHF guarantee—a gap likely to be filled with today’s final flight.
This morning (Sunday at 11:30), the last opening flight 1H Turbo takes place, featuring a faster structure with 15-minute levels. It's expected that this final turbo flight will attract a good number of last-minute players, not only meeting but possibly surpassing the half-million guarantee. Once flight 1H concludes, the final prizepool value will be known, and the tournament will move to the next phase.
