Bulgarian Kalev Tops Record-breaking PS Open

The largest event of the festival, the €1,650 PS Open Main Event, attracted 3,024 entries, creating a massive €4,354,560 prize pool, setting a new record for this tournament in Prague.

The Day 2 started with 454 players, each already assured of a payout. By the end of the day, only 96 remain, each guaranteed at least €6,620. However, the winner will take home a spectacular €583,000 and the prestigious title.

Bulgarian Petar Kalev leads the tournament, having collected 2,550,000 chips (102 BB), entering Day 3 with a comfortable stack. Following him is Thor Morstoel, with local hope Vítězslav Čech currently in third place.

Kalev has two six-figure live tournament victories under his belt, including one from a previous EPT Prague Main Event, where he evidently thrives. Other notable players still in the running include Tomasz Brzezinski, Aliaksei Boika, Grzegorz Glowny, and Scott Margereson, who clinched the PS Open Main Event at EPT Malta just two months ago.

Czech fans can rejoice in the strong presence of local players. Among those still competing are Rama Prema (currently 20th), David Savočka (58th), Karel Havelka (83rd), and David Táborský (86th).

Enrico Camosci in Top Form

Italian professional Enrico Camosci is having an exceptional week at the EPT Prague 2025. After securing an impressive 3rd place in the €10,200 Mystery Bounty event, he went on to triumph in Event #16: €20,000 NL Hold’em.

The tournament, albeit with a small field of 8 players, featured top names like Niklas Astedt, Ognyan Dimov, and Klemens Roiter. Camosci handled the fierce competition brilliantly, overcoming Estonian opponent Ottomar Ladva in the final heads-up. The victory earned him €85,690, while his rival took home €66,310.

This marks Camosci's second EPT title, breaking a nearly two-year stretch where victory just slipped through his fingers. His formidable form suggests he's aiming to stay among the elite during the Prague EPT.
