Record Field in the PokerStars Open
The ever-popular “Mini Main Event” of the EPT, now held under the PokerStars Open brand (formerly Eureka/Estrellas), once again proved its draw. With a €1.100 buy-in, the tournament attracted an incredible 2.387 entries, generating a €2.291.520 prize pool. Only 45 players remain in contention for the top prize of €340.000, including stars like Pierre Calamusa or Jon Kyte. Chipleader of the Day 3 is Belarusian Vadzim Kazak with 3,850,000 chips.
Piekazewicz Claims Cuatro Knockout Victory
High-stakes action was on full display in the €12,300 Cuatro Knockout event. The tournament drew 70 entries and built a prize pool of €827,540. Brazilian pro Alisson Piekazewicz took the title, earning €183,620 from the regular pool and an additional €72,000 in bounty prizes. Hungarian online legend Andras "Probirs" Nemeth finished runner-up for €155,200, while Spanish grinder Juan Pardo took third place for €84,700.
Rapid KO for Austria
Event #7 – €1,050 Hyper Turbo KO Freezeout – attracted 86 players, with €39,560 going to standard payouts and €43,000 in bounty prizes. The fastest man of the day was Austria’s Heinz Schlüter, who claimed the title and €11,060 along with a coveted EPT spade trophy.
Mokri Dominates the Mystery Bounty
Norwegian high roller Kayhan Mokri lit up the €10.200 Mystery Bounty event, which drew 91 entries and created a €427.700 prize pool. Mokri walked away with €114.000 in regular winnings and an additional €32.500 in bounties, capping off his run with a trophy and well-earned title.
Lonis Strikes Big Once Again
The festival’s most expensive tournament, the €30.000 Super High Roller, attracted 61 entries and generated a prize pool of €1.781.505. After a heads-up deal, both Jesse Lonis and Chris Brewer took home €449.802 each, with the trophy ultimately going to the American pro Lonis, who adds yet another major victory to his growing résumé.

Saturday’s action at EPT Monte Carlo brings much more than just Day 3 of the record-breaking PokerStars Open. The schedule includes the kickoff of the festival’s most expensive tournament — the €100,000 Super High Roller — as well as a one-day Pot Limit Omaha event for PLO enthusiasts. Meanwhile, the €330 Ladies Event gets underway at noon, offering a more casual but equally competitive atmosphere.
