Tom-Aksel Bedell Leads the Main Event After Day 3
The Main Event at EPT Malta 2025 has a clear leader after the third day of play – Norwegian Tom-Aksel Bedell finished the day with a dominant stack of 2,718,000 chips (272 big blinds) and heads into Day 4 as the strong favorite to advance further.
In second place in the standings is Belarusian Aliaksei Boika – the 2016 EPT Malta Main Event winner, who has a realistic chance of defending his title. He could become only the fifth player in history to claim two EPT Main Event titles.
Moldova's Roman Stoica is in third place, maintaining an excellent position from the previous day when he ended Day 2 as the chipleader. Besides the defending champion Boika, the only other previous Main Event winner still in the running is Spain's Adrian Mateos, currently in 10th place. The TOP 10 also includes Juan Pardo and Tom Vogelsang, both of whom have already secured titles at this festival's EPT in Malta.
There are 36 players remaining, all guaranteed a minimum payout of €16,800, while the winner will walk away with €760,000 and the prestigious EPT trophy. Day 4 kicks off today at 12:00 local time, with live streaming available from 12:30 on YouTube and Twitch.
