Kyte’s Coveted Trophy
The record-breaking PS Open saw Day 3 welcoming the top 45 players out of an initial 2,387 entries, aiming to form the final six. This goal was achieved, with Norwegian pro and EPT Prague 2023 Main Event runner-up Jon Kyte topping the leaderboard after an exceptional performance. He advanced to the final day with a stack of over 100 BB, giving him an excellent shot at winning the trophy that narrowly eluded him in Prague.
The final day was undoubtedly dominated by the Norwegian professional Kyte. He left his opponents no chances and crowned his performance by winning the coveted PS trophy along with a €340,000 prize!

Record-Breaking Super High Roller
Many remember Finnish legend Patrik Antonius winning the €100,000 Super High Roller at EPT Monte Carlo last year, collecting a record payout of €1,967,440. Last year's tournament recorded 72 entries, prompting speculation about whether this record could be surpassed. The first day of this year’s event drew 53 players, making up 66 entries. However, registration remained open until the start of Day 2, adding another 8 entries and setting a new record at 74 entries.
In total, €7,179,480 will be distributed among the top 11 finishers. The final six contenders will battle for the top prize of €2,022,000. Leading the pack heading into the finale is Germany's Leon Sturm, though the path to victory will not be easy.

Main Event Kick-Off
The festival's highlight, the €5,300 Main Event, officially kicked off as well. Day 1A offered 10 levels of play, generating a total of 403 entries (10 more than last year). By day's end, 123 players advanced, led by Irish Open winner David Docherty, who bagged 279,500 chips.
Expectations for record-breaking attendance in the second Main Event flight are high. Alongside the Main Event, two final tables will be contested—the aforementioned €100K Super High Roller and the €25K PLO High Roller.
