Roland Rokita is Triton champion, earns $904,000 lifetime prize

The second tournament of the Triton Jeju series already knows its winner, the former Austrian ski jumper Roland Rokita. He scored a lifetime achievement of $904,000 for the victory.

The Triton SHR Series Jeju moved on to its third tournament during yesterday's event, which will know its champion today. However, in addition to that, the final day of Event #2, which was the $20,000 NLH 8-Handed with 225 entries and a prizepool of $4,500,000, also took place.

Final Day Event #2

Thirty-two players entered the final day and all of them already had at least $31,000 in their pockets. However, $904,000 was waiting for the winner. Czech player Roman Hrabec was again in contention for this prize, but he finished in 25th place, taking home $39,500. Making his way to the 9-seat final table as a massive chipleader was Alexandr Zubov with a stack of up to 14,450,000.

Yu Xiangyu was the first to bust out, taking home $94,500 for 9th place. He was followed to the cash desk by initial final day chipleader Tobias Schwecht, who took home $113,000. Seventh place went to Damir Zhugralin for $154,000 and sixth place went to Leon Sturm, who pocketed $210,000. Leon was down to his last 4 blinds during the first day and started the final day with only 6 blinds, his final result is so remarkable.

Playing down to the last five players, Roland Rokita was already in the lead:

Fifth place went to Alexandr Zubov, which earned him $278,000, fourth place went to Mikita Badziakouski ($355,000), and third place went to Kiat Lee with a prize of $439,000.

Heads-up action

Roland Rokita and Sirzat Hissou faced each other in the final heads-up, with the stacks being two-to-one in Roland's favour. However, it didn't take long for Hissou to take the lead. His lead didn't last long either, however, and Rokita reasserted himself.

The last hand of the night saw a battle of nines (Rokita) versus deuces (Hissou). The nines held up after the board was dealt and we met the new champion, former Austrian ski jumping champion Roland Rokita.Both players scored lifetime bests, Rokita with $904,000 and Hissou with $599,000.
