EPT: Jon Kyte leads 46 players into day 4

Another day of play at the record-breaking EPT Prague Main Event is over, and the number of hopefuls for the title is down to 46. Norwegian player Jone Kyte has seized the chip lead.

The record-breaking EPT Prague Main Event is set to reveal this year's champion at the end of this week, with a prestigious title, trophy and €1 million up for grabs. There were 1,267 entries at the start of the event, but yesterday's Day 3 welcomed just 175 players to the tables. For those, 5 levels of 90 minutes awaited to test the abilities of each and every one of them.

The rough road proved to be fatal for 129 players, and the purges didn't leave the world-know players either. Dario Sammartino, Leo Worthington-Leese, Robin Ylitalo, Grzegorz Glowny and Patrik Jaros had to say goodbye to the game during the day.

The top 46 players will return to the tables of Day 4 at noon today, and their namesake promises top-notch poker. In fact, names like Steve O'Dwyer, Teun Mulder, Marle Spragg and Omar Eljach are all in the top 10 of the chipcount . The rest of the field isn't lagging behind in quality either, with names like Max Neugebauer, Ramon Colillas, Niall Farrell, Maria Lampropulos and Leo Margets all playing for the title.

The aforementioned 46 players will continue play today in the blinds at 10,000/15,000 for a tournament average of 56bb. The plan for the day is to whittle this field down to the last 16 players, but you'll be able to follow these battles again from 12:30pm via the live stream, which you can find on our website.
