The popular PartyPoker Tour Live series returned to the UK this year, rolling out a slate of exciting festivals across the isles. The new season kicked off in April at Aspers Casino before moving on to Manchester. Two more stops, in Glasgow and Birmingham, have already been announced.
Poker Action Heats Up in Manchester
Day 1s of the PartyPoker Tour Manchester Main Event drew a total of 243 entries, building a prizepool of £107,248. After a grueling Day 2, the final table was set, putting a £19,843 first prize and the champion's trophy up for grabs. PartyPoker ambassadors Alexander Georgiev and Natalie Bromley both made deep runs but ultimately exited in 5th and 4th place, respectively.
This final table belonged to Deniz Orhan. Orhan entered the last nine as the chip leader and never looked back, navigating the endgame with composure and closing it out without facing any major adversity. In heads-up play, he bested Ronnie Marland to claim the title, earning £19,843 and the trophy in a winner-takes-all finish with no deal in sight.
