Daniel Schwensen Crowned Lex Live Main Event Champion, Takes Home 27.782€ from Banco Bratislava

Article cover

The Lex Live Main Event at Banco Bratislava drew a total of 953 entries last week, smashing the tournament’s guarantee and building a hefty prizepool. Heading into yesterday's final day, just 22 contenders remained in the hunt for the 31.034€ first prize. It was Alexey Mishuk of Israel who started the day with the biggest stack, putting himself in prime position.

The final day action got underway at 1:00 PM, with all 22 survivors fighting for the Main Event trophy. Several hours of deep and competitive play saw the last table take shape. Nine players claimed their seats at the final table, led by Cyprus' Pavlou Marios, who controlled the table as chip leader with 7.2 million chips.

Unfortunately, Igor Gorej narrowly missed out on a final table appearance, busting in 17th place. Peter Ješko followed soon after, bowing out in 13th.

The heads-up battle came down to Serbia’s Ceda Jovanovic and Norway’s Daniel Schwensen. The two finalists agreed to a deal, splitting the remaining payouts evenly and leaving 5.000€ and the title to play for. In the end, it was Daniel Schwensen who closed it out to become the very first Lex Live IV Main Event champion in Bratislava. For his victory, Schwensen collected a fantastic 27.782€ plus the event’s trophy. Congratulations to our champion!
