Article cover

The end of June at King’s Resort played host to the People’s Poker Tour, delivering a packed schedule of poker tournaments for players. The marquee attraction was the Main Event, boasting a 500€ buy-in and a massive 1.000.000€ guaranteed prizepool.

The opening flights drew a field of 1.422 unique players, who together accounted for 1.899 entries. Despite the strong turnout, the event fell short of hitting the guarantee. That fact was certainly welcome news for the 24 finalists who survived to the final day. The tournament’s fast-paced structure saw the final table set after just five hours of play, with Estonia’s Uusen and the Netherlands’ De Haas taking their seats as chip leaders. Fans could follow the entire final day action via live stream — the replay is available here:

The best finish by a DACH region player came from Germany’s Taulos, earning 38.350€ for fifth place. Soon after, both former chip leaders Uusen and De Haas hit the rail, setting up a Czech–Dutch heads-up battle for the title.

The contest began with Leon Veehof holding a commanding lead — 87 big blinds to TomasJedno’s 31. But the Czech player mounted a dramatic comeback, overturning the deficit in just 40 minutes. Refusing to cut an ICM deal, TomasJedno powered through to capture the championship. For his win, he collects the trophy and a 134.350€ payday, including a ticket to the WSOPE Main Event. Congratulations!
