The CNP (Circuito Nacional de Poker) is the flagship of Spanish live poker in the mid-stakes range—a series that began in 2012 and has since grown into the most prominent domestic circuit of its kind. In recent years, it gained even more momentum with a partnership with Winamax announced in December 2024.
The series traditionally features several stops across Spain—in popular poker destinations like Seville, Barcelona, Murcia, Alicante, and Madrid—and “traveling the map” is part of the series’ identity. As for records, in recent seasons, CNP regularly sets new benchmarks; last year in Seville alone, the record stood with 919 entries.

The Record Remains Unbroken
This year, Casino Admiral in Seville once again kicked off a new CNP season, and from day one, players showed an appetite for poker. Although the four starting flights of the Main Event didn't surpass last year's record, the final tally of 822 entries secured a €350,100 prize pool.
Financial prizes awaited the top 87 participants, with 47 players battling for the title after the bubble burst during day 2. Those elite players faced no easy task—the final day challenged even the most seasoned pros. It took seven hours of play to whittle the field down to the final table, with local favorite Manuel Delgado leading the pack by a significant margin.

Final Table: One Ride, One Leader
Nevertheless, Ramón Fernández ultimately took center stage. The final table started with the elimination of Eloy Córdoba, but Fernández soon seized control. Seville watched as he transformed from a frontrunner into an unstoppable force, sending 5 of his 7 opponents to the payout desk.
In heads-up play, Fernández faced the former chipleader Manuel Antonio Delgado Cordero, who couldn't halt the surging opponent. The heads-up lasted only 4 hands. Cordero's all-in with 7 d 6 c was called by Fernández's A h 9 d, and a blank board secured the win for the better hand.

Newly announced as a CNP Team Pro member, Fernández delivered a dominant performance at the final table, earning €60,000 and the prestigious title of CNP Winamax Main Event champion in Seville. The runner-up, Manuel Delgado, has reason to smile as well, taking home €41,000 as a consolation prize.
