The Festival in Banco Bratislava is reaching its climax. The Main Event has its final day ahead, featuring the top 16 players. The main tournament recorded 887 entries, which didn't quite meet the half-million guarantee. Yesterday, Day 2 saw 110 players qualify, each securing a minimum payout of €1,150.
Today, the final day of The Festival Main Event will be held, where we'll learn the name of the new champion. The winner will take home an impressive €78,100 and be crowned in front of our cameras. You can watch the finals' live stream on our website starting at 13:30.
Yesterday, 110 players vied for a spot in the finals. Day 2 was filled with numerous seat openings until the list of the final sixteen was determined. Each player in this group is guaranteed €4,500, which they aim to convert into the top prize of €78,100. The largest stacks from yesterday's Day 2 were bagged by three Slovaks: Tomáš Štrvtecký, Dávid Urban, and Andrej Tekel. It will be intriguing to see if the Main Event title stays in Slovakia.
