The combination of the prestigious WPT Prime series and the world-class Grand Casino Liechtenstein can only bring one thing to the table - the best poker festival far and wide! Whether you're a seasoned poker pro or consider yourself just a recreational player, you should make time for this event at the start of September, no matter what !
The whole festival kicks off with the affordable WPT Deepstack with a buy-in of CHF 200 and a guarantee of CHF 100,000, which will take place from 31.8 to 3.9. Alongside this, we will have several PLO events or events for ladies and seniors, and then from 6.9 the main event of the whole festival will take the spotlight - the CHF 1,100 WPT Prime with a record guarantee of CHF 1,000,000!
You will be able to play for it in a total of six opening days, followed by Sunday's Day 2 (September 10) and finally Monday's Grand Final (September 11). Of course, we won't be absent and you can look forward to live streams from our production, live reports from the action and much more!
At the start there were a record 1,644 entries and a fat prize pool of CHF 1,644,000, with only one winner at the end. The WPT Prime champion was Hungarian player David Kozma after a last-three deal!
David Kozma won the biggest WPT Prime in history for a fat cash prize of CHF 268,340, including a $10,400 WPT Prime Championship ticket and a beautiful winner's trophy.
The entire final table took home interesting prize money:
The 6-day poker marathon has come to an end, and we bid you farewell with our live report for now. We are looking forward to more interesting events.
And it's decided! Hungarian David Kozma and Swiss Marc Sen met in the final heads up match.
On the last hand of the tournament, Marc Sen called for 1m and David Kozma check-called. The flop came 8 6 2, Kozma bet 1m, Sen re-raised 3m and Kozma called. On the turn 5, Kozma continued for 3m, Sen all in and Kozma called. Kozma showed 5 6 two pair against Sen's A 6. The river was the 5 and Kozma won the last pot with a full house, leaving Marc Sen in second place in the tournament
Marc Sen finishes second in the tournament, and after the deal he takes home a magnificent CHF 172,500!
For Lukáš Pažma, the final table was a roller coaster ride, where he first rocketed to the top and then his luck turned around.
In the last hand of the tournament, Lukas was about 5m behind and made it to the all in with J 9 against David Kozma with K T. Borad's A T Q 4 4 ended Lukas' journey through the tournament.
Lukáš Pažma eventually finishes third in the tournament and takes home his lifetime bankroll of CHF 173,000 after the deal.
And we move into heads up play!
The last three players agreed to deal as follows:
Play will be for the trophy, ticket and CHF 59,553.
In the meantime, both Kozma and Sen managed to get past Pažma and the stacks of the players were approximately equal. This triggered a discussion about the deal.
The last three players are fighting for the win, with Pažma in the lead:
This is certainly not how the Italian imagined his end on the final table! Alessandro Pichierri made it to the all in against David Kozma. Both players turned over king jack off suit, David Kozma K J Alessandro Pichierri K J. A flop of 8 4 Q, turn 6 and river 7 completed the Hungarian player's flush.
Alessandro Pichierri was quick to run out of the casino after this hand. 4th place belongs to him and despite the unfortunate ending a nice CHF 95,800.
The final four players at the final table of the record-breaking WPT Prime are battling it out for a massive cash prize of CHF 268,340. Among them, Slovakian representative Lukáš Pažma is still building his stack. There are also some handsome sums awaiting the others:
Will the record-breaking WPT Prime have a Slovak champion? Fingers crossed!
Carlos Henningsen made it to all in with A K against Prichietti's T T. He eventually found no help on board 5 7 6 8 3, ending his tournament.
Carlos Henningsen took a nice 5th place for CHF 72,300!
Shortly after the break we have another elimination. Faton Berisha' s executioner was Lukas Pažma, who found A K the moment Berisha sent all his remaining chips with A 7 on his hand. The flop 3 A T, the turn 2 and the river 4.
Faton Berisha finishes the tournament in sixth place for CHF 55,200 and the Slovakian player increases his stack to 12 million!
In his last hand of the tournament,Thomas Hofmann moved all in with 9 9 but ran into the immortal Marc Sen, who found A K. The harbinger of the end was already a flop of 8 8 A, a J came on the turn and a river 8 called. Marc Sen completed a full house and that meant the end of the tournament for Hofmann.
Thomas Hofmann finishes 7th in the tournament and takes home a nice CHF 42,500!
We haven't seen any eliminations this level, the stakes are high and there's no rush...
Players go to break with the following stacks:
Let's also recall the final table payout structure:
The first eliminated is Salih Atac, who entered the final table as a shortstack. Alessandro Pichierri, with 6.4m, found Q Q on UTG and opened to 300k. Atac with A 3 after some deliberation sends his last 1.8m.
On the flop Pichierri three-bet K Q 6, turn 4, river A. Salih Atac finishes the final table in 8th place for a nice CHF 33,000.
Players enter the final table with the following stacks, with the Slovak player in second place! In addition, Lukáš Pažma is doing some good advertising for his favourite football team, Spartak Trnava, at the streaming table. Fingers crossed!
A little while ago we got to know the final eight! At the gates of the final table in the tournament was Yang Guodong (9th place for CHF 25,900).
Guodong made it to the all in with A J on his hand against Alessandro Pichierri's Q K. Alessandro flopped a pair of 4 K 3, turn 6, river 2. Guodong is out of the tournament and we move on to the final table!

There are 70 players left in the 1E hand, which means there are only two eliminations left. The bubble is about to burst in Day 1F, where the last 35 players are battling it out.
As early as noon today, the advancing players from the opening days will battle it out for the record-breaking WPT Prime Lichtenstein prize pool. The tournament saw an incredible 1,644 entries! 108 players have already secured their place in Day 2, and we'll get to know 100 more at the end of today's flights.
Out of the original 252 entries, only 49 players are already fighting to advance to Day 1F. The last opening flight of the ME WPT Prime will be played down to the last 32 players.
Day 1E is Level 14 and the chip leader is currently Laurent Matson with a stack of 472,000. There are 104 players still in contention and 68 of them will advance to Day 2.
We come to the table when the flop is 5 T 9, and Arduini and Abud are in play. The flop both players check, turn 9 Abud bets 15k and Arduini calls. On the river 4, Abud decisively threw 25k on the table. Lorenzo Arduini thought better of it and called. Abud showed 7 8 and so Arduini takes the pot with ace high A 6.
Day 1E is currently level 10 and 212 players are currently competing to advance. The chip leader is German player Alfonso Levo with a stack of 250,500.
In the meantime, registration has closed in Fligh 1F and the counter has stopped at 252 entries. Of the current 164 players, the top 32 will advance to tomorrow's Day 2.
Level 8 is currently running in Flight 1E, and 267 players are still in contention to advance out of 539 entries. 68 of them will advance to the second day of play today.
Here is the current top 10 chip count:
1. Bekim Murtezi -179,000
2. Goekhan Caymaz - 170,000
3. Pascal Oliver Brechot - 155,000
4. Gaetan Giradin - 148,000
5. Daniel Schwitter - 140,000
6. Rene Koch -135,000
7. Alan Sabock - 134,000
8. Adrijan Bat - 125,000
9. Thomas Hardt - 121,000
10. Stefan Fink - 120,000
Thomas Hofmann's name shines again in the Day 1E player list as he attempts to advance to Day 2 with a playable stack on his third charge. He is already assured of a seat and the minimum cash, but unfortunately with a stack worth less than the blinds. Good luck!
Late registration closes in the first fligh on Saturday and players are on break at this point.
Several Czech and Slovak players have also found their way to Grand Casino Lichtenstein, including Peter Ješko, Stefan Bednar, Josef Guláš and Lukáš Pažma.
The traditional "shuffle up and deal" signal rang out in the poker room, kicking off the last opening flight of the Day 1F Main Event!
1F will have 30-minute levels, late registration is available until the end of Level 6, and will play down to the last 12.5 percent of players. All players in Day 2 are ITM.
Have a wonderful Saturday my friends! We are reporting from the Grand Casino in Liechtenstein, where the penultimate opening flight of the WPT Prime Main Event Day 1E is now in full swing.
We have some special news to start you off: the million-dollar WPT Prime Lichtenstein is breaking records! We're not done yet, and WPT Prime Lichtenstein has already surpassed the largest WPT Prime Taiwan to date with 1,359 entries. The Liechtenstein Main Event has a whopping 1,361 entries at this point and counting! It's already clear that there's a pretty fat cash prize waiting for the winner.
As for today's programme, it is practically the same as yesterday. Day 1E kicks off at noon, where a CHF 1,100 buy-in gets you a 30k stack, 40 minute levels and late registration open until the end of level 7. The very last Flight 1F will kick off at 17:00, offering faster 30-minute levels. If today's playing day follows a similar vein to yesterday's, WPT Prime Liechtenstein has a huge chance to attack the previous record of 1,359 entries set in Taiwan. What do you think, will it succeed?
Today's game day has just ended. Flights 1C and 1D saw a total of 576 entries. A total of 72 players managed to make it through to the second day of play from both flights and all of the advancing players are now "in the money".
Tomorrow, Flight 1E, starting at 12:00, and 1F, starting at 17:00, are on the schedule at the Grand Casino in Liechtenstein. We bid farewell to our live report for now and will be joining you this afternoon to follow the rest of the opening days of WPT Prime Lichtenstein. Good night!

The last eliminated player of the day and bubble boy was Stephen Kyung Hyun Song, who finished in 31st place in Day 1D.
So today's second flight of the day has fulfilled its purpose and we've met the 30 players who will battle it out for the biggest share of the massive WPT Prime Lichtenstein Million Guarantee on Sunday!
Just before the end of Day 1D, Thomas Hofmann listened to the "seat open" for the second time today. He sent his last 98k pre-flop all in with 9 T on the hand. However, his opponent found K K on his hand at the same time and the board 7 6 K 6 Q unfortunately didn't complete the straight in the end.
Thomas Hofmann is thus in Day 2 with just 3,000 so far. The hand is hand-for-hand and only one player will be left out of the money.
After Day 1C, 1D is coming to an end. In the second flighter of the day, the last 35 players remain and only 30 of them can advance to Day 2.
Day 1D also saw this year's Spadepoker Tour champion Lorenzo Arduini in contention to advance to the second day of play. He heard "seat open" a little while ago, after sending his last chips all in with A J on his hand and being called by Xhavit Berisha with T J. On a board of 2 9 Q 2 T, Berisha's luck ran out and he eliminated Arduini from the tournament.
The first flight of today's tournament ended a short while ago, and 42 players have made it through to the next stage of the tournament.
Two "bubble boys" - Marko Pantelic and Emil Kolp- finished before the gates of the second day of play. All others who will pack their stacks for Day 2 are ITM at this point. Congratulations!
