WPT: Dan Smith leads the final six of the Big One for One Drop
Today we meet four millionaires
The historic fifth edition of the Big One for One Drop attracted 17 brave souls willing to invest a million-dollar buy-in during the WPT World Championship Festival. The first day of play brought a slow start that sent just two players out of the game, which meant that 15 players played for a spot in the 6-seed final yesterday.
Right from the start of the day, Chris Brewer had to say goodbye to the tournament after a missed flip with AJ against a pair of 77 , followed by Martin Kabrhel just a few minutes later. The latter got into a spot from which there was no escape when he ran into a pair of QQ with his 15bb into a pair of K K under the hand of Jason Koon. The board didn't bring any miraculous help and the hope of a Czech 7-figure win was quickly extinguished.
The second day's play eventually saw 6 players successfully battle their way through, still led by Day 1 chipleader Dan Smith. The final showdown is scheduled for today from 23:00 our time, when we will be able to watch the astronomical 7-figure bubble in the live stream. The chipcount for the final day looks as follows:

The last two tables in the Main Event
While many fans have been following the progress of the aforementioned One Drop honestly, the Main Event of the entire series is still going on nearby. The latter had a fifth day of play on the schedule during the night, with 45 players jumping in. The star-studded field of players managed to whittle down to the last two tables during the day, with 16 of the participants now playing for spots in Thursday's final table.
Ben Jacobs settled on the overall chiplead with 77bb, but the field still includes names like Artur Martirosian, Ben Heath, Chris Moorman and Andrew Lichtenberger. Each of this group has already pocketed a $291,700 cashout for sure, but the plan for tonight will be to see the 6-seed final table.
