The overall winner will receive the Golden Eagle trophy plus a $25,000 PGT Passport.

The entire series kicked off on April 8 and will continue through April 16, when the final tournament awaits. The very first tournament had a buy-in of $5,100 and, like all tournaments in this series, was in NLH format.

Thefirst champion was Erik Seidel

Event #1 brought in 116 entries, bringing the prizepool to $580,000. Cash prizes awaited 17 players and a $145,000 prize was up for grabs for the winner.

Poker Hall of Fame member Erik Seidel took to the 6-seat final table here as the chipleader and had a stack as high as 5,020,000, which was 34 percent of all the chips in play.

In the end, Erik didn't even get a look at the final heads-up, as he ended the tournament in three-handed play when he found aces under his hand. Nothing could save his two opponents on the board, and so Erik Seidel enjoyed his second USPO title and a $145,000 payday.
