The Benelux Classics was won by Andrei Sasu, who took home €15,040 after the deal
The Rozvadov poker room prepared for its poker fans the Benelux Classics, whose Main Event was in the Mystery Bounty format. The Main Event had a guarantee of €250,000 with a buy-in of €160+€30+€100 bounty. The top three players also had a ticket to the WSOP Europe Main Event worth €10,350.
The tournament brought only 796 entries and so the guarantee could not be met. 15 players advanced to yesterday's final day and the top player was a Romanian player with the nickname SZBURATORUL. However, when the final table was made, his compatriot Andrei Sasu was already the chipleader.
Playing down to the last four players, we saw a deal after which SZBURATORUL took the biggest cash prize. The tournament continued with a play-off for the winner. After German player Nilf Sifrin was eliminated in third place, we saw a purely Romanian heads-up. The winner was Andrei Sasu, who took home €15,040.
