SOPC: More Main Event flights and the prestigious Highroller await us today
The Scandinavian Open Poker Championship tournament series is in full swing, and after three days of play on the opening days of the Main Event, 51 players are on the money. You too can come and compete for a guaranteed €250,000 if you pay the €185 buy-in.
Thursday brought two opportunities for players to advance to Day 2 of the Main Event. In the afternoon a lot of players decided to "turn on" the tournament, not only from Slovakia but of course also from Scandinavia.
There were several dozen players from the north in the Banco Casino in Bratislava, which meant 238 entries were generated, 30 of them enjoying the advancement. The chipleader of Day 1C was Norwegian player Markus Markusson with a stack of 1,043,000 chips.
The Turbo Flight was on the agenda in the evening, with "only" 28 players finding their way into it. Of those, four players will look to Day 2, chiplead by Mladen Stojanovic with a stack of 412,000 chips. You can see the names of all the advancers at the end of the article.
SOPC NLH/PLO Mixed
The NLH/PLO Mixed Event was also played yesterday and attracted a large crowd, which generated 145 entries, creating a prizepool of €7,250. The trophy from this event went to Croatia as the winner was Marco Milanovic. He took home the trophy and €1,673 from the Banco Casino in Bratislava. Congratulations!

Continuation of the Main Event and also the €25,000 Highroller on the schedule
Friday's Main Event action gets underway again at 15:00 with Flight 1E and the Turbo Flight 1F will get underway at 22:00. In addition, a tournament for high stakes players is also on the schedule today. The Highroller, which guarantees €25,000, can be played by paying a €550 buy-in, which will earn you a playable 100,000 chips. As this is a one-day event, we will know the champion of the prestigious tournament today.
