SOPC: Highroller dominated by Cibicek, great turnout during Main Event

Friday's 410 entries generated another 52 advancers. The Highroller guarantee was irresistible and the prizepool was doubled. There are up to three opportunities to advance today, with the first flight starting at 12:00.

The Scandinavian Open Poker Championship attracted a number of great players to Bratislava's Banco Casino on Friday night. Despite the fact that the tournament has already collected 814 entries, the guarantee is still holding out.

Friday's action during the SOPC Main Event

Another day of play kicked off during the SOPC Main Event on Friday afternoon, attracting a large number of players to the casino. This first managed to generate an excellent 326 entries, which will see 41 players go on to play. Sitting on the chipleader's chair was Slovak Vojtech Paxian with a stack of 1,176,000 chips.

In the evening, the 1F Turbo flight was also played, with a total of 84 players finding their way into the event, allowing 11 poker enthusiasts to enjoy advancement.

Although there are 814 entries recorded in the tournament, the guarantee is still holding out. For a €185 buy-in, you can secure a seat in Day 2, Flighty 1G, which kicks off at 12:00 noon. Flight 1H is on the schedule at 17:00, and of course the turbo flight 1I is not to be missed, with fights starting at 22:00. There are currently 103 players in Day 2 and who else will join them?

SOPC Highroller €25,000 GTD

Every good poker festival has a Highroller on its schedule, especially for high stakes players. SOPC is no exception and so this tournament was on the schedule on Friday, and we got to know the champion.

With a buy-in of €550, the guarantee was set at €25,000, which was left forgotten thanks to the perfect turnout of players. 107 entries took the prizepool to a whopping €50,825, with a €13,028 prize awaiting the winner in addition to the trophy.

The victory in this prestigious tournament ultimately went to the home team's Jozef Cibicek, who outlasted the entire field and took home the aforementioned trophy and a reward of €13,025. Congratulations!
