Seth Davies wins PLO Super High Roller Bowl and becomes two-time SHRB champion in one year

Over the summer, Seth Davies was the winner of Super High Roller Bowl IX and now he's also the winner of Super High Roller Bowl PLO. He did this despite falling in the last 2 blinds. He earned $1,500,000 to his account.

The Aria Casino, specifically the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, hosted the PLO Super High Roller Bowl in recent days. This tournament is the most expensive PLO tournament with a buy-in of $103,000 and it was also only the second edition of the tournament to be held. The tournament brought 42 entries and a prizepool of $4,200,000.

Last year, Jared Bleznick was the winner here and this player entered this year's final table as the chipleader. He had a great chance to defend his title. Only four players stood in his way.

The final day

Josh Arieh was the first to say goodbye to the game, taking home $330,000 for his fifth place finish. The next gentleman to be eliminated was Seth Davies, who fell to just the last two blinds in four-player play. However, Seth was able to multiply that and within a few hands he was back in the game.

In fourth place was defending champion Jared Bleznick, who took home $450,000. It was Seth Davies who took care of his elimination. Seth also knocked out Sean Winter in third place for $600,000, taking him into the final heads-up against Artem Maksimov as the chipleader with a 2:1 advantage.

Double win in one year

The heads-up battle lasted just half an hour, and Seth Davies kept building up his stack during that time. Davies finally finished what he started and became the SHRB PLO winner with a $1,500,000 prize, plus a diamond ring. Artem Maksimov pocketed $900,000 for his second place finish.

Back in August, Seth Davies was the Super High Roller Bowl IX champion with a buy-in of $306,000, taking home $3,206,000. This second SHRB win in one year puts him among names like Justin Bonomo and Timothy Adams. In fact, only this trio has managed to win 2x SHRB in one year.
