Kayhan Mokri defends last year's EPT Super High Roller title, now earns over €1.3 million
EPT Barcelona has written some more interesting stories and we have a duty to write about them for you. Right off the bat, we're going to jump right into the Super High Roller. sbuy-inom €100,000, where we were able to watch back-to-back winnings.
The Super High Roller brought 41 entries and a prizepool of €3,977,820, of which €1,372,420 was waiting for the winner. The top six players battled it out for that amount in the final yesterday, and they were led by Sean Winter.

Patrik Antonius finished in 6th place, followed by Santhosh Suvarna at the cashier. Fourth place went to Jesse Lonis and original chipleader Sean Winter took third place. Kayhan Mokri and Seth Davies battled it out in the final heads-up. Heads-up play lasted just two hands, after which Kayhan Mokri became a two-time Super High Roller champion at EPT Barcelona. Last year he took home over €750,000, now he's up to €1,372,420.

Estrellas High Roller clearly dominated by German player
Yesterday was the final day of the Estrellas High Roller with a buy-in of €2,200, which brought 2,064 entries and a prizepool of €3,962,880. Of this amount, the winner took home a straight €600,000.
The final day saw 26 players enter and was led by German player Berthold Winz with a huge stack. Winz left nothing to chance and already held almost as many chips as all of his opponents combined when playing in a five-player stack. So there was nothing stopping him from becoming the winner, which he did. Berthold Winz pocketed €600,000 for the win, plus his second EPT trophy.

EPT 8-Game
Also on the agenda yesterday was an 8-Game €5,200 buy-in tournament, which brought 18 entries and a prizepool of €87,300. Cash prizes were waiting for just four players and there were names like Benny Glaser and Mike Watson. However, neither of them could stop David Ko from Canada. He handled the star names handily and took home the trophy and the sum of €37,550.

EPT Main Event goes to Day 2
Also on the schedule was the second flight of the EPT Barcelona Main Event, flight 1B. The €5,300 buy-in tournament brought an additional 1,194 entries, bringing the Main Event total so far to 1,891 entries. A further 405 players have made it through to Day 2, and they will join the 223 advancing from 1A. The numbers are not yet final, however, as late registration is open until the start of Day 2.
The overall chipleader here is French player Jeremie Zouari with a stack of 402,500. The field also includes names like Stephen Song (230,500), Scott Margereson (219,500), Simon Wiciak (212,000), Ramon Colillas (133.000), Maria Konnikova (128.500), Davidi Kitai (122.500), Erik Seidel (116.500), Harry Lodge (79.500), Patrik Antonius (51.000), Justin Saliba (50.500), Daniel Rezaei (45.500), Tom-Aksel Bedell (44.500) and Leonard Maue (25.000).
The second day of play at the EPT Barcelona Main Event will start at 12:00 noon on blinds of 1,000/1,500/1,500 and players will play 90-minute levels. A live stream of the Main Event also starts today and can be found on our website from 12:30.
