Year after year, the legendary Irish Open breaks its own records, and the current festival is no exception. In it, players have taken care of 3,233 entries, with 109 players still left in the field.

The oldest poker series in Europe didn't disappoint this year, beating last year's record by 742 entries. The organisers also owe the broken record to the wide range of online qualifiers, which are estimated to have brought more than 500 qualifiers to Dublin. Players from all over the world only confirmed the great name of this event, the winner of which will take home a fabulous prize tomorrow.

Yesterday's long Day 2 welcomed the 743 advancers from the opening days to the tables, who faced an equally challenging Day 2. This brought plenty of interesting action, which by the end of the day had formed a group of 109 advancers.

At the end of Day 2, the last 109 survivors of the 743 players had reached the packing stacks and will now battle it out for seats on the final day. Each of the players is assured of a €4,720 cashout at this point, but looking at the €415,615 prize determined for the winner, it's clear that no one will settle for said certainty today. The chiplead is currently held by Greek player Konstantinos Vatseris, with names such as Conor Beresford, Dara O'Kearney and Sebastian Huber also continuing to play.
