EPT: The unstoppable Jon Kyte is clearly heading for the championship!

A one-man show like you just don't see! Jon Kyte's run in the EPT Prague Main Event is unparalleled, and he's only four opponents away from the golden point. Will he be able to complete the run of his life today?

Five days of play have come down to this moment - a record-breaking edition of the EPT Prague Main Event has whittled the field down to the last 5 hopefuls who will play for the championship title today, complete with a trophy and a €1,030,000 prize. Norway's Jon Kyte continues to be the best placed to do so, taking a chiplead to the final table unlike any the EPT series has ever seen in its 20-year history!

It was in Prague six years ago that 29-year-old Jon Kyte won the Norwegian Poker Championship for €240,000, and last year in Eureka, in the same room as today, he finished fourth for €131,900. By the third time, it's clear that he'll surpass those numbers, and since he has a bigger stack than all of his opponents combined, it's clear that he'll have his sights set on the highest of heights.

The runner-up is Chinese representative Cheng Zhao, who is in the real estate business and just takes poker as a hobby. The local scene is also represented at this table, thanks to 30-year-old Adam Wagner, who has gone from poker pro to studying law. From there, he took off for the EPT, where he only turned on the Main Event, where it's already clear that he's going for the win of a lifetime.

Rounding out the final day's cast is Italian Umberto Ruggeri, who after 15 years of playing is giving poker his full attention, especially at the online tables. The smallest stack will be rolled out by Irish player Padraig O'Neill, who was introduced to the poker world back in 2012 and has been a regular in tournaments and cash games around the world ever since.

The 2023 final table kicks off at 12:30pm, and you can look forward to the livestream again half an hour later. Play will continue in the 50k/100k blinds, and we're all curious to see if anyone can stop Jon Kyte's run of a lifetime!

The final table payout structure:

  1. 1,030,000€
  2. 643,000€
  3. 459,240€
  4. 353,240€
  5. 271,660€
