EPT: Successful Main Event, just 17 entries short of breaking the record

Although many predicted a weaker turnout before the EPT, the opposite is true! The Prague EPT Main Event could break its all-time record today, for which he only needs 17 entries!

The end of the 2022 season of the EPT series is already inherently Christmas in Prague, which this year welcomed players from all over the world to the Czech capital. They broke the record in the popular Eureka event, crowned several champions in their midst, and the next few days will be mostly dedicated to the Main Event.

The first of the two opening days attracted 412 entries, almost the same number as last year. The traditionally larger Flight 1B didn't disappoint yesterday, also matching the numbers of the 2022 edition, but thanks to the 838 entries it has set the total number of entries so far at 1,250. Last year's Main Event, which was won by the prosecuted Jordan Saccucci, produced 1,267 entries, and with registration open until the start of Day 2, it's highly likely that we'll see another record broken!

297 players successfully made it through the sieve of yesterday's Day 1B, with Hungarian representative Daniel Koloszar leading the way. The field was also packed with star names from the poker world yesterday, and among them Omar Eljah, Dario Sammartino, Jason Wheeler, Niklas Astedt, Dimitar Danchev, Alejandro Lococo, Nils Pudel, Max Neugebauer and potential defending champion Grzegorz Glowny managed to secure their advancement .

The second day of play kicks off today at 12:00 on blinds of 1,000/1,500, which means that any stragglers can jump in with a 20bb stack. So after the kick-off, we'll find out the final numbers of the day, reveal the payout structure, and probably burst the bubble today, which you'll of course be able to watch live via Live Stream. The stream series kicks off at 12:30pm and you'll find them on our website every day from today until Sunday.
